This edition marks the 70th anniversary of Ferrari and pairs Thrustmaster technology with a replica of the genuine Ferrari 488 Challenge wheel, officially licensed by Ferrari. The rim is therefore a copy of a real race car’s wheel rather than a generic round shape. That licensing is what separates the Challenge Edition from a standard TS-PC Racer.
Brushless Servomotor Wheel With Embedded Motor Cooling
The Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition Racing Wheel is built around a powerful brushless servomotor and a Motor Cooling Embedded system that holds performance through long sessions instead of fading as the base heats up. The rim replicates a real competition wheel, so force feedback through turns and drifts lands the way it would in a race car. It is aimed at sim racers who want a PC wheel base rather than a console accessory.
25 Programmable Functions On The Rim
The TS-PC Racer carries 25 programmable functions, which is what lets a driver map controls to the way a specific car and title work. Assignments can be tailored to your own racing style rather than accepting a fixed default layout. Having that many functions on the wheel keeps your hands on the rim during a stint.
Servo Base With 270 To 1080 Degree Rotation
The TS-PC servo base has a metal top cover and a rotation angle adjustable from 270 to 1080 degrees. Inside sits an industrial-class second-generation brushless motor delivering 40-watt brushless force feedback, together with the Motor Cooling Embedded system and a Field Oriented Control algorithm. Power comes from an external Turbo power supply rather than the USB connection.

Officially licensed by Ferrari for Windows, the TS-PC RACER Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition’s wheel is a 9:10 scale replica of the Ferrari 488 Challenge wheel and measures 12.6”/32 cm in diameter.
With a brushless Force Feedback system, a very responsive 40-watt brushless servomotor, and a Motor Cooling Embedded system (patent pending), the motor supports intensive use during long hours of e-racing competition without fading.
The wheel is designed for racing competition with its 15 built-in LEDs for tachometer function (RPM) and 2 rotary switches with push function. Its wrapping is hand-stitched and made of the same Alcantara material imported from Italy as that used on genuine Ferrari wheels.
The external Turbo Power power supply features a finless toroidal-shaped design, providing 86% efficiency (vs. 65% efficiency for standard finned power supplies).
